Outlook Alerts

Is there a way so that everytime i get a new email an alert pops up on my
desktop ie. so that it send/receives constantly and alerts me when i get new
mail?

Care to state your Outlook version? By the way, you can't "send/receive
constantly". Mail is not an instantaneous transfer medium. You should
never poll your mail server any more frequently than about every seven to
ten minutes.

Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Send/Receive. Check the first box labeled
"Schedule an automatic send/receive every" and specify a value of eight to
ten minutes. Then on Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail Options,
specify one of the options in the "When new items arrive in my Inbox"
section.
