Outlook 98 - Save changes prompt when no changes have been made

Whenever you open a mail message in Outlook 98 then open
an attachment, after closing the attachment when you try
to close the email, you are prompted if you wish to save
changes, even though no changes have been made. This is a
system running Exchange 5.5 with Outlook 98 clients.

You can get this message when the version of the app used to create the
orignal file differs from that used to open the attachment.
