Outlook 97/2003 Mapi code

I am looking for suggestions for add-in's for outlook 97 and 2003 that
would synchronize an exchange mailbox with a .pst. I can't use a
third-party software package that installs dll's or makes entries in
the registry. I am basically trying to create the equivalent of an ost
that can be opened on another machine. I have heard people say that I
can use VB and Mapi. Any suggestions on where I can look for some
sample code?

You can't use VB for Extended MAPI, only C++ or Delphi. And for support of
Outlook 97 (or anything earlier than Outlook 2000) you have to use MAPI to
create an Exchange Extension, COM addins won't do.
