Outlook 2K3, Windows 2K, connecting to Exchange

I am trying to connect to the University of Texas Exchange Server, but
am having difficulties. The instructions for Outlook 2000 instruct me
to use neither Kerberos or NTLM but Outlook 2003 insists on at least
one. To connect with Outlook 2003 it seems that I must use RDP over
HTTP which is not an option for Windows 2000.

Are you seriously telling me that a Windows 2000 client with Outlook
2003 can not connect to an Exchange Server?

The only way to connect to the Exchange server when running Outlook 2003 on
Windows 2000 is by connecting to University via a VPN connection and then
starting Outlook. The reason for this is that the Windows 2000 platform
doesn't support a RPC over HTTPS connection. This connection method is only
supported by Windows XP (SP2) and newer operating systems.
