Outlook 2K3 hangs trying to start Word as editor

The message "starting microsoft office word 2003 as your
email editor" comes up when attempting to reply or
forward. I changed the editor for now so the user can
send and reply, but this is a short term fix. I ran the
repair option and that didn't help either. Any
suggestions?

Just delete (or rename) Normal.dot, this will them be automatically
recreated & should solve the problem.
