Outlook 2k Automatic rules not working

All,

Have an instance of outlook 2k here that refuses to use
message rules correctly.

The application has been re-installed, and the rules can
be run manually perfectly, but just do not operate on an
automatic level.

Operating system is Win2k, environment is quite a strict
SOE, so I am at a bit of a loss as to what exactly could
be causing the trouble.

Has anyone had similar trouble?

Not much help here except to say that I am struggling with the same issues.

I'm running OUtlook 2002 on XP Pro and connected to an Exchange server
(not sure of version) and a POP server. What's happening to me is that
my rules work just as I want them to when I run them all manually
(individually or in a group). However, in automatic mode, as messages
arrive in my inbox, some of the rules work and some of them don't. In
general, it seems that the ones which operate on messages coming from
the POP server are more likely to succeed. I have 13 active "after
the message arrives" rules.

I would certainly appreciate any clues anyone has to offer. I've
searched the Web and not come up with anything useful.
