I am wondering if there is a way to open Outlook 2007 without an network
connection. Yes I am fully aware of the inability to check email but I would
like to have access to my calendar and address list because I use the Outlook
calendar on my PDA. The Outlook is networked with a school system but I can
access my school email over the internet but not sync my PDA with this
option. Any help would be great.

What type of account? If Exchange, then you should be able to use File>Work
Offline to see your folders. If POP or IMAP, I don't understand the
problem. You shouldn't need to be connected at all.

When I attempt to access Outlook it gives me an error message telling me
something along the lines of not being able to access the folders.....I'll
reply with the exact wording soon (I'm not at my computer).....and then it
gives me the option of working offline, retrying, or cancel. I'll click
"Work Offline" and it kicks me off. It did this when I had Outlook 2003 as
well. It hasn't always done this but I don't remember what happened.

Please post exactly what you're doing and exactly what the errors say.

When I click on the Outlook icon, it is slow to open and when it opens, it
displays: "Microsoft Exchange is unavailable" and gives me the option to
"Retry", "Work Offline", or "Cancel". I select "Work Offline" and it pops up
a new message saying "Cannot oper your default e-mail folders. The
information store could not be opened." I click "OK" and it shuts off
Microsoft Outlook.

Are you using an Exchange server? If not, then create a new profile and configure it to use the server you are actually using. Then remove the Exchange profile.

Just to be clear, you do normally use an Exchange account, correct? If so,
it sounds either like your OST has a problem (try using SCANOST) or you have
your delivery location set to a PST and that PST has a problem (try using
SCANPST).

What is your delivery location? Does the file exist?
