Outlook 2007 Won't Connect on VPN Connection

I have Outlook 2007 on XP sp2.

When I am in the office, outlook connects to exchange with no
problems.

When I am at home on a VPN connection, I can access all intranet, but
Outlook does not want to connect to exchange.

Any thoughts / advice?

Can you ping the exchange server?

What server name did you enter for the exchange name? You could try and use
the fqdn for the exchange server.
