Outlook 2007 takes forever to load graphics in an email

I regret upgrading from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007. It takes a very long
time to load graphics in emails. It freezes as it loads them too! I did all
the appropriate updates to no avail. Any suggestions?

I find the same thing. I have even changed the "send/receive settings" to
"download complete items..." but it doesn't work. I am using IMAP and when
I click on an e-mail it downloads everything from the start. I also noticed
that the formatting is different from 2003. In 2003 a web page opened in my
e-mail looks just like the web page but in 2007 some of the formatting is
lost and it doesn't look the same. I have tried the various settings in
Options "HTML settings" with no luck. Thanks for any help, Kent
