Outlook 2007 Still Looks Like 2003 After Upgrade

I am running Vista Ultimate 32-bit. I just upgraded my Office 2003 to 2007.
Everything appears to have gone well except that when I open Outlook it has
the appearence of 2003. But only the main Outlook window is that way. Any
other message windows I open all have the ribbon and stuff at the top. All
the other Office applications appear normal with the 2007 ribbons. Only
Outlook's main Window has the look of 2003.

I have tried a repair. I have tried several full uninstall and reinstalls
of Office 2007. But to no avail. Outlook still doesn't come up with the
ribbon. Anyone had this problem or have any idea how to uninstall Office
2007 while clearing out all settings as well?

Any help would be great. Thank you.

Then why does my installation of Office 2007 at work under XP have a ribbon
in Outlook?

Sorry, I think you're right. I guess I hadn't noticed. That's weird that
they didn't change the interface of the main Outlook window but everything
else is different.

The 19 different ribbons that Outlook got where a lot of work for
Microsoft. They simply didn't have the resources left to do the main
window as well. (As comparison, Access, Excel, PPT and Word got one
ribbon each).

In other words they ran out of time based on the arbitrary lauch dates that
had been set. Mmmm! Where else did they "cut corners" to make the lauch
schedule?!?

it was more like the main interface was so complicated they could not
reasonably expect to finish it in time for any reasonable release date. As
for cutting corners, yes, outlook 2007 rtm has some bugs in it and you could
say they rushed it out but they also do better at fixing bugs when it's in
wide us in a variety of scenarios, something even 100,000 beta testers
can't do. (too many testers are hard to manage) They'll solve and fix a lot
of bugs with the crash data users send.
