When I first open up Outlook, just as the send/receive begins, a window pops
up and tells me that "Mircosoft Outook as encountered a problem and must shut
down. Sorry for the inconvinience."
I elect to send a report to Microsoft and because I have not unchecked the
box to restart the program, the report gets sent and Outlook starts up again
with the same outcome each time.
When it first open up, I've tried to click on the Help tab to see what I can
do, but before I can get anywhere with it, Outlook freezes and the message
appears again.
How do I resolve this issue? Please advise.
Thank you!!!

Do you have the Cloudmark add-in? If so, check the Cloudmark website for the fix, you have to delete some files. Mine was doing the same thing, then I deleted the files, uninstalled and reinstalled Cloudmark (possibly not necessary after you delete the files first), and it is all good.

We need to know what that error message says. When you get an "Illegal
Operation" or "encountered a problem" message, there is usually a "Details"
button, or a "click here" link to see the error report. When you click on
the button/link, it will give a message like: XXXX caused an error in YYYY
and a bunch of register nonsense or it will list the Appname XXXX and
Modname YYYY. The XXXX and YYYY are important to identify the cause and
solution. You can ignore the rest of the message.
