Outlook 2007 - SharePoint - Cannot Open File

Outlook 2007 does not allow me to open sharepoint emails. Downloads, etc. are
allowed in the setting/options in Outlook '07, but when I click on the email,
I get a "Cannot Open File" message.

I ran into the same problem. I am using Outlook 2007 on a Windows Vista
Business machine. I have Sharepoint 3.0 on one of my servers. When
Sharepoint would email me I could not open it with Outlook. I would get the
message, 'Cannot open this item'. I found that I had 'Use Cached Exchange
Mode' turned on. When I turn that off I can now open emails from Sharepoint.
Haven't found out yet why that is but it works for me. Since I do want my
Cached Exchange Mode on, I turn it back on after I have opened my emails from
Sharepoint, which are few. Not sure if this is your problem but hope this
helps.
