Is it possible to delete a SharePoint Task from within Outlook?

I have set up the connection between SharePoint and Outlook (2007 versions)
so that tasks in a SharePoint task list appear in Outlook. I can update the
task in Outlook and it updates in SharePoint. I can add a task in Outlook and
it appears in SharePoint. But if I delete a task in Outlook, it does not
delete from the SharePoint tasks list. I am the sites owner, so there ought
not to be any permissions issues.

Well, I can delete so it must be permissions. If you have contribute or
better you can delete, provided you are using the same AD acct in SharePoint
as in outlook.
