Outlook 2007 issue
Machines affected:
- computers that are shared (hotel computers)
- computers that have been imaged or upgraded
- numerous computers
Symptoms:
- Users attempting to open get a message saying that the application is
experiencing an issue and needs to restart – launches a cycle of failed
attempts if User attempts to restart
- opening Outlook in safe mode will often allow the user to open the app but
as soon as you attempt to work in the app., it freezes.
Error messages I’ve gathered from the machines having issues:
Application Log:

Source: Outlook Event ID: 35 || Failed to determine if the store is in the
crawl scope (error=0x8001010d).
Microsoft Office Diagnostics:
Source: Microsoft Office 12 Event ID: 206 Office Diagnostics has determined
that there is some evidence of repeated problems. (that’s my favourite)
