Outlook 2007 Send/Receive

When Outlook 2007 does a send/receive…. Nothing responds… i.e. I am typing a
reply or new email… while I am typing… Outlook does an automatic send and
receive…. During that time, everything I type does not show up and mouse and
keyboard are unresponsive… the mouse pointer disappears, the cursor
disappears etc… nothing else happens until that send and receive is done even
in IE…. What a Pain. in fact so annoying… I may go back to the old version
of office. The old outlook did not disable the entire machine to get or
receive mail…. I have tried running Office Diagnostics but everything is
good...

Anybody else having this issue or is it just me? Is there a fix? I can't
phathom that Microsoft built this in like this?

I've also got this issue amongst many others, which have only manifested
themselves since moving from 2003 to 2007. Office 2003 just ran so sweet and
now I've got a dog called "Office 2007".

There IS a massive issue with send and receive IMHO and following the
research I've been doing to get a fix. Many people are experiencing the same
issues. Seems to be worse with large PST files and POP mailboxes.
