In the previous version of Outlook (XP) I was able to save advanced searches
which allowed to quickly search for any incompleted tasks. The advanced
search can no longer be saved as a template and I am looking for a way to
quickly search for incomplete tasks. To everytime define the search criterias
in advanced find is slowing down the process and the search function of the
new Office and/or Vista is also not powerful enough to deliver quick results.
Does anyone have a solution to this probelm? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Roady. The custom views don't solve the problem. I have some 300 open
tasks which I have categorized and display with custom viewes (e.g. open
today). But I sometimes need to search for a task which is in the future and
I used saved advanced finds in the pevious version of Outlook. I can however
not save those anymore since the registry prevents to save advanced finds in
combination with ost files. Stefan

True, and there is no direct way to work around it but most of the saved
search queries can be rebuild as a custom view. Which exact criteria did you
use in your saved search?

My saved sarches were based on the following criterias:
Complete = no
Subject or Text = "individual search string"

So can I now do a custom view where I change each time the search string?

You can create a custom view based on the "Not Completed" status and then
use the Instant Search feature to change the search string.
