Outlook 2007 Rules In Error - Cannot Reply to Message

Using Outlook 2007. All account and other settings have been verified to be
correct and in working order. All templates are working. I have 3 accounts
in Outlook. One account, my wife’s business account, uses Rules. None of
the Rules are working. When a Rule is turned on, and then I send an email
from my personal account to her business account (the one with the Rules),
the business account receives the email, but the reply using the Rule is not
sent. Before this, I got an error message: Rules In Error - Cannot Reply to
Message. Can you help correct this problem? I believe this may have been
caused by the most recent Windows Update.

Rules are not a per-account feature, they're per-profile. Exactly what do you
mean? Describe your profile and account settings in more detail.

Brian- I saw an identical thread where surprisingly you were quite obstinant
and less than helpful when someone brought up this exact issue. I agree with
the orioginal poster in that thread in that it should have been sufficient
for him to say he followed the steps in the linked article exactly. Obviously
it is a waste of everyone's time to retype a linked article.

The reality is that a recent MS update has broken this feature. I am in the
process of uninstalling Office SP2 to see if this will resolve.

Office SP2 is 100% FUBAR and my hope is that it is fixed very soon.

I have two screenshots of the profile and the rule settings. How do I get
them to you so you can have a look at them and perhaps give me some help?

Thanks.

You're not alone. It seems this situation is related to a recent Microsoft
update, and until a fix is developed, we're stuck.

Post them to one of the many image-sharing web sites and then post the URL(s)
for them here. http://www.xsolive.com/ has an Outlook screenshot posting
area, for example.

I apparently solved the problem by uninstalling the 6/15/09 "security
update" to Office 2007. Something in the update broke the ability to
automatically respond.

This appears to be the fault of the update for Outlook 2007 (KB969907). That
went on SP1 and is included in SP2. All is good with SP1 excluding (KB969907).

I have the same problem, my rule to create an 'Out if Office' message
generates an error, and the rule is turned off.

I have removed KB969907, but still have the same problem. Is there any
chance that Microsoft will be aware of this problem and be fixing it?

I removed every Office update for June... including SP2, and still
cannot get Outlook 2007 to reply using a template (Vista).
