Outlook 2007 repeatedly goes to "Not responding"

When I try to move items between folders, Outlook 2007 hangs with a "not
responding" message. If I ignore it and just wait, it comes back after a few
minutes. Office diagnostics report no problems. Automatic updates are turned
on. I am running Office 2007 on Vista SP2. Is it worth trying to find a
solution from Microsoft or should I just switch to Thunderbird?

How does it behave in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> type; outlook.exe /safe

If it works correctly now, your issue is most likely caused by an add-in.
