Outlook 2007: Received email missing Message Menu Tab

H

Howard Cross

The only menu tabs showing on received email are the 'Add-Ins' and 'Adobe'
tabs. The 'Message' tab is missing.

Any suggestions for turning it back on would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Does it work in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

Do you have an addin installed that allows you to customize the Ribbon
perhaps?
Those can hide the original Messages tab.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply and started in safe mode as suggested and the AWOL tab
is present.

The tabs in the ribbon are Add-Ins and Adobe. The Add-In tab has Contribute
related items. They've been there and I haven't knowingly made any
adjustments. Is it possibly a security thing? Any suggestion on how to
restore the ribbon to normal?

Thanks again Robert, I think I've isolated the offending add-in. It appears
to be related to Mail List King application. I've posted a message on their
board and see where this takes us.

Good to hear you find it and thanks for reporting :)

I hope you can get things sorted with them.
