Outlook 2007 Question

When I open a new email or reply to an existing email I see every hard return
and other format symbols on the page.

Question is: How can I turn that feature off?
 
Open a new message go to the body of the message then select the Format Text
from the toolbar then select the show paragrah marks or try CTRL+SHIFT+*
