Outlook 2007 Out of Office stops working

Currently running Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007. Not sure if this is
Exchange or Outlook.

We have noticed that many users have had issues with the Out of Office
feature where it basically just stops working. Sometimes it may work for one
day other times for an hour. When going back into outlook the OOF still
shows as enabled but just does not send any notices out either internal or
external. Has anyone run into this and of course what possibly to check to
get this fixed.? Of course nothing seems to show up in event viewer to help.
Thanks!

You are aware, are you not, that the OOA will send only one message back to
each sender no matter how many messages they send?

Yes we do see the "Auto answer only one time" but it does actually stop
sending notices when a non previously recieved OOO person sends in.

Was this issue ever resolved, Transam388? We are currently experiencing the
same issue and are not even sure what it could be that is causing this. Out
of Office replies work for about 5-10 minutes when a user turns them on, then
it stops working completely, though it is still shown as turned on.

Anyone else experiencing this?

No, really have not found anything definitive on this. Part of the issue is
that this also seems to be hit or miss. Some persons have no issue or it
works for a week then another it stops after 20 minutes. If I find anything
out I'll post it but so far have not resolved this issue.

Hi Transam388,

Our organization utilizes Exchange 2007 SP1 with Outlook 2003 SP3 and we are
experiencing exactly the same problem. Therefore I think this issue should be
Exchange 2007 related rather than Outlook related.

Please let me know if you found more information on regard of this issue.

Thanks,
David
