Outlook 2007 Opening to many New Emails

I'm not actually the one that is experiencing the issue. I know someone that
has installed Office 2007, when they open Outlook everything opens fine but
when they click on New to open a new mail message over 100 email messages
open. We've tried uninstalling office 2007 and reinstalling it. We've also
tried installing the latest updates to see if this resolves the issue. I
doesn't matter what we try every time we open a new message over 100 new
message windows open.

Any ideas on what to do to resolve this issue?

Tried changing the mouse?
 
No, I didn't try changing the mouse. I did have them try going through
Microsoft Word and just click on the drop down menu and click the send to>
Mail Recipient. After doing this it only opens one New E-mail message.
