Outlook 2007 not showing "new messages" in inbox...

My inbox folder on the left will indicate new messages, yet there is nothing
new in my inbox. I have to click another folder, then click the inbox folder
again for my new messages to show up in the actual inbox...

Anyone else have this problem?
