Outlook 2007: New composed emails stuck in Outbox

I just upgraded my Outlook 2007 from Outlook 2003. Since then, all my new
composed emails stuck in the Outbox. I try to Send / Receive manually but it
does not help. My Send/Receive set up has not changed as auto process every 1
minutes. I have to close down and open back up the Outlook in order to send
them and this is the only way to send my email now. Can this be fixed? Please
help! Thank you in advance.
