Outlook 2007 - Inbox no longer works [REPOST]

Damon

I have been running outlook 2007 for a month without any problem. However
Tuesday this week I noticed that the when I changed the views in inbox to a
custom view and then selected another folder it would revert back to the
standard messages view.

This was not really a big problem until I found out that incoming pop email
that was not syncing back into exchange and was disappearing from the inbox
folder. I have checked all views and the mail is not there at all from
Tuesday onwards.

Thinking this was weird and annoyed because I had lost all of my incoming
pop email from Tuesday I decided to delete my OST file to see if this fixed
it.

After I re sync my profile with exchange (I have both exchange and pop
checking running) that nothing is now appearing in my inbox folder. Even
though I have lots of mail sitting in inbox if I view it from Exchange web
mail.

When I have a look at the synchronization tab in outlook on the inbox folder
I see the following:

Last synchronized on:01/02/2007 11:02

Server folder contains: 28879 Item(s)

Offline folder contains: 0 Item(s)

I logged a PSS ticket with Microsoft but no one has contacted me back. In
frustration I uninstalled Office 2007 Professional and changed to Office
2007 Enterprise. I now still have the exact same problem.

If someone could please help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. I'm
getting sick of having to use pop3 web mail and exchange web mail to work.

Cheers

Damon

What about uninstalling and going back to Office 2003? This was pretty much
rock solid and so far works better and more reliably than Outlook 2007.

Damon,

This just started happening to me today as well. If I Shift-F9 each
folder it works for that single folder but running F9 does nothing. I
didn't notice it as most of my mail is list groups (which are in some
sub folders that I don't have expanded most of the time) until a
client called about some time sensitive work that was missed.

I blew away the entire profile and still the same problem. I also
went to the folder properties and cleared the cache thinking that
might help but no dice.

Did you ever come up with a solution that worked.
