Outlook 2007: In which folder is that email...

D

Drew

I am using Outlook2007 and have over 200 folders many of which have
the same name. The folder structure looks something like this:

- Inbox

-- Project1
---docs
---data
---archive

-- Project2
---docs
---data
---archive

etc.

When I do a search for an email (I hate the fact that they removed the
"Advanced Find..." option from the right-click menu) either via the
Ctrl-Shift-f option or the search box at the top, I get results
alright but cannot seem to figure out which Folder the email resides
in. For example, it will say "docs" but not which "docs" folder.
Does anyone know how one can get the FULL PATH to the folder (Inbox >
Project1 > docs, for example)?

Thanks in advance!

Why not add an extra couple of letters to each folder ie;
Project1
P1docs
P1data
P1archive
or
Project1
docsp1
datap1
archivep1

Etc, etc, etc.

Thanks Bob. Unfortunately, while your suggestion is a good one, it
doesn't answer the question I asked. The question was whether or not
there is a way in Outlook 2007 to get the full-path to a folder from
any of their search interfaces. I am not going to go back and change
the names of 200+ folders within Outlook; it doesn't make sense. It's
easier to migrate over to Thunderbird.

So if anyone knows of an answer, even if it means creating a macro or
spending additional $ to fix/enhance Outlook, I'd be grateful for the
suggestion.

TIA,
Drew
