Outlook Outlook 2007 help after XP Updates

Hello,

I'm not too computer literate, but not quite a novice either ... after the Microsoft XP updates happened on my computer in the last few days I cannot open Outlook 2007 except in safe mode. What can I do about that? I use AVG 9 Internet Security.
