Outlook 2007 File Transfer

I have a laptop with windows xp and had updated to office 2007 about a year
ago. I just bought a new laptop with windows vista and office 2007. I am
trying to transfer all Outlook files and folders from the old laptop to the
new one and I cannot get it to complete. I was recommended to buy and use
dynex windows vista easy transfer software and cable. I followed the
instructions and it appears all files have moved to the new laptop but I
cannot access them to drop into the new outlook. Where am I going wrong?

You have to open the transferred PST file(s) with Outlook, or specify it
in the Data section of the Control Panel's Mail applet.
