Outlook 2007 -> Exchange via ssh tuinnel

I'd like to use Outlook 2007 to connect to my organisation's Exchange Server
(they do not have Outlook Anywhere set up) by ssh tunneling via a server I
have access to onsite. Is this possible and, if so, what ports do I need to
tunnel and how do I set up Outlook to use them?

Thanks,
Tony.

Thanks, Roady. Is there any special way the VPN should be set up? And, once
set up, can you point me to instrucitons on how to configure Outlook 2007 to
use it for Exchange Server connection?

Thanks,
Tony.

One other possible alternative. I am able (again using an ssh tool:
Tunnelier) to get IE7 to use socks proxy setup to believe it is acccessing
internet as if onsite. I noticed that there is a setting in Outlook 2007 to
use IE connection settings and tried using this but it didn't work. Should it
have? And if so, how do I set Outlook to work this way?

Thanks,
Tony.

No, once you have a VPN connection you have an internal IP address for your
corporation including the DNS configuration. You'll then be treated more or
less like an internal client. No reconfiguration of Outlook would be needed
in this setup.

I'm not sure if it should work this way. I sure wouldn't expect it to. AFAIK
the only supported Exchange account connections are via VPN or RPC over
HTTP. Both can be fully secured.
