Outlook 2007 error message Cannot open this item

The details ie subject etc are visible, but when I try to open an email I get
the error message: Cannot open this item

I have been getting a similar problem. I search in an eMail folder for a
specific eMail and get a return list. Then, when I try to open the eMail, I
get the "Cannot open this item" message.

If I open it directly from the entire list of eMails in that folder, it
opens just fine. I can open all other eMails without a problem as well.

Any thoughts or help is appreciated.
