Outlook 2007 email destination problem

I have just installed Outlook 2007 and I cannot get my email to show up in
the Inbox on the favorites menu(the inbox that the "Welcome" message went to.
I have all the updates for outlook and I'm using XP with all the updates.
Can some one please help.
 
Which mail account type are you using?
In case of IMAP or for basically any other folder, right click on the folder
and choose;
Add to Favorite Folders
