Outlook 2007 crashes when opening attachments

Clay

I have a user that when she opens an attachment in Outlook 2007, Outlook
crashes. When Outlook restarts, she is able to open the same attachment. It
seems to happen the first time the attachment is accessed. Below is the crask
information from the event log. Any ideas? Any Suggestions? We have tried a
new computer and a new install of office. She does have Quickbooks loaded.
Running Windows XP.

Thanks,
Clay

Seems to be indifferent to the attachment type.
I have seen it happen on XLS, PDF and DOC along with XLSX, DOCX, etc.

I have the same problem with a user, only happens once or twice a day.
Attachments are either pdf or doc/docx. Oulook will just shutdown and
restart, then everything is ok.

I, too, have one employee who has this issue and it happened to her in Office
2003 and followed her to 2007. Could it be another program installed on the
PC? The only program I can think that she has and no one else does is
WebShots.

I am also having this issue. I am running Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.
I had found a series of posts that seemed to indicate it was a problem with
SEP. I have loaded the latest version (11.0.4014.26) but it still occurs.
Outlook does not crash if I remove SEP 11.

Symantec products are notorious for not working correctly.
