I recently upgraded to Vista Home Premium. Before I was using XP Home
SP2 with Outlook 2007 installed. I have two accounts setup: a pop3
account and an Exchange account both of which were working fine.
However, when I upgraded to Vista, I became unable to connect to the
Exchange server account. When I attempt to connect, I get Error Code 8
and it complains about an invalid certificate. Why all of sudden would
the certificate be a problem when it never gave me any issues when I had
XP installed? Please help me.

Thanks.

Here is the exact text of the error message:

There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. The
security certificate is not from a trusted certifying authority. Outlook
is unable to connect to the proxy server mail.domain.com (Error Code 8).

Thanks.

you need to publish the server's root certificate locally so it can be
trusted.

Could you give me some information on how to do this? I believe I have
the exact same problem, but am not sure on how to publish the server's
root certificate locally
