Outlook 2007 cannot save - "Not Implemented"

I've installed Outlook 2007 on a Windows XP Pro machine, as part of the
Microsoft Office 2007 package. I've also downloaded and installed Service
Pack 1 for Outlook 2007.

When I try to create a new contact or a new appointment, it let's me put all
the information in, but when I go to save it gives the error "Not
Implemented" and won't let me go past that point.

Also when I try to update Outlook by synchronizing my Blackberry, it gives
the error "Unable to logon application"

What am I doing wrong?

Create a new PSt file in outlook and take a backup of old PST file and run a
scanpst and then open the PSt and drag and Drop all the items in the new PST
file

Thanks for the suggestion, but...how do I create a new .Pst file? I cannot
find where it is located. Also is "scanpst" a command in DOS?

No it's not a dos command. Outlook Help has this path if you look up scanpst:
drive:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\LocaleID folder - where
LocaleID is the locale identifier (LCID) for the installation of Microsoft
Office. The LCID for English - United States is 1033
Translation: C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033

40Fingers:
Here is the path to your .pst files, but you have to insert [your name]
where it belongs. You will see what I mean when you get there:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your name]\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook.
Once you have gotten this far, you may still not see it, so you have to go
into your:
Windows Explorer/Tools/Folders Options/View and then choose the option to
'Show...etc' the Hidden Files and Folders. It's about 9 'bullet-options'
down...
Go back to the 1st path above and refresh (F5) your screen and you will see
the "Outlook.pst" file. There may even be an "archive.pst" file. These are
the files they are talking about. Well, the "Outlook.pst" file is anyway for
your immediate concerns.
I cannot answer your other Q about the scanpst. Not sure myself either but
will continue to watch myself so I can possibly use it if necessary.
Good luck!

TO create a new PST file Go To File in outlook and then click on new
and select outlook data file and name it whatever you want ,
once it is created Go To tool accounts settings
click on Data Files tab and select the new PST and then click on Set Default
close outlook and reopen it again

OK - now I've really got problems. I located my "hidden" .pst file and
deleted it (but saved a copy first!) and then went to File - New - Data File
and I keep running into the same error - "Not Implemented".

Any other suggestions? I will happily try anything!

Have you tried a new mail profile? Control Panel->Mail icon->Profiles->New.

I don't have a Mail icon in my control panel. In fact, I never remember
seeing one there at all.
