Outlook 2007 - cannot locate recurrence information

Hi, I have deleted 1 occurrence of a recurring meeting and now my whole
meeting series is missing in the calendar, but I get reminders every day and
cannot snooze or dismiss the reminder. (cannot locate recurrence information)
I can however see the meeting in the recurring meeting list in the calendar,
but I’m unable to open the entry.
Any solutions?

Sounds like the appointment item is messed up - your best bet would be to
delete it from the recurring meeting list if you can, and run Outlook with
the /cleanreminders switch to fix any debris it left behind in your
reminders. (For info on how to run command line switches, search for
"command line switches" in online help.)

Yes, thanks it's gone now, but i was of course hoping to recover the meeting
as it is still valid and should run untill the end of the year.
Well, I guess I just have to reschedule it, but this error has happen to me
before and it happens when I move one meeting in the series to another day.
Any ideas what makes Outlook/Exchange do this.

Changing an occurrence of a meeting series (known as creating a broken-out
appointment) should work without problems. Having said that, my experience
is that if you have a long-running series and there are lots of broken-out
occurrences over time, the chances of the meeting item getting messed up just
get higher and higher. For that reason I try to have my meeting series end
after no more than a year, and even less for ones that frequently get amended.

But maybe someone else knows some tricks to make this more reliable...
