I can not delete any email messages. If I try to select a message and delete
it I get a error message "The messaging interface has returned an unknown
error, If the problem persists, restart outlook." If I try to empty my
"Deleted Items" folder I get a message that says the message may already be
deleted.

Have you tried using the Maintenance tool?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.
