Outlook 2007 Beta - Authentication Error (0x800ccc80)

I am using Windows XP Professional with SP2 and all available updates.

When using Outlook 2003 all my email accounts work fine, both send & receive.

I installed Outlook 2007 and made sure all settings are the same. One of my
mail accounts will not send email and gives error (0x800ccc80) telling me
that none of the authentication methods supported by Outlook 2007 are
supported by my server.

Is there a known fix for this, or does this suggest my ISP has a mail server
that is not compliant in some way ?

Could it be that you somewhere set the wrong checkmark, maybe next to
SPA?

Problem has been solved.

In Outlook 2003, on "Outgoing Server" tab, I had ticked "My outgoing server
(SMTP) requires authentication". Everything was working !

In Outlook 2007, my ISP has advised me to untick this box. Everything is now
working. They advise they have the SMTP server only accepting connections
from internal IP address (within our VPN setup).
