When I save attachments in any location, two additional empty folders
"Outlook Calendar" and "Outlook Contacts" are also created. This does not
happen with another user using Outlook 2007. Is there any way I can stop
this happening?
I would really appreciate your help and thanks in advance.

How exactly are you saving the attachments?
If you create a new profile, does the same thing happen?
If you go to Tools - Options - Other - Advanced Options - COM Add-Ins, what
is listed there?

I'm having the same issue. I've created a new profile and I've checked for
Com Add-Ins, but it's still happening.

How are you saving the attachment? Does it happen if you drag and drop the
attachment out of the message?

Yes, I just tested it by dragging a Word file and it occurred just as with
using "Save As." My last post was incomplete. Here are the active Add-ins
listed in my Trust Center:

iTunes Outlook Addin (iTunesOutlookAddin.dll)
Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging (UmOutlookAddin.dll)
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Colleague Import Add-in
(ColleagueImport.dll)
Microsoft Outlook Mobile Service (OMSMAIN.DLL)
OutlookAddin (OutlookAddin.dll)
PDFMOutlook (PDFMOutlook.dll)
Wondows Search Email Indexer (mssphtb.dll)
