rencently upgraded from office 2000 to 2007
When I try to download email, I download 96 messages then I get a send/
receive error then followed by the 0x80040154 error. I keep getting the same
96 emails. I finally had the emails wiped off the server, thinking I had a
corrupt email causing the problem, but still get the error and can't download
any new emails. I can send email out. Tried deleting the email account and
starting over, no luck.

Any suggestions?

how frequently are you checking for new email? Set it to at least 10 min and
see if it works. if using antispam or antivirus scanners, disable email
scanning.

I have a similar problem. I accidently installed Office 2K today, so I then
uninstalled it. Ever since then, my Outlook 2007 has freaked out. It deleted
the icon on the task menu, then when I finally found & replaced the shortcut,
I can send but not receive my email in Outlook. This is a new laptop with
preloaded trial software so I don't have installation cds. Thanks for any
advice!

Many PCs with factory installed software come either with a hard drive
partition and a utility that allows you to create installation CDs or with a
system restore disk that allows you to restore your PC to the factory image.
You can also download a trial copy of Office 2007 from Microsoft.
