Hi,

I have a PC that is unable to open e-mail attachements, mainly Word
attachments.

The attachements are shown, with the proper icon, but when you try an 'open'
or 'open with' nothing happens.

Word 2007 is installed and working correctly on this PC.

Anyone have any ideas on the cause and cure of this problem?

Thanks,

Chris

"Open with" doesn't exist as an option for attachments so something is
telling me you're leaving out some details on what you are actually doing.

Thank you Roady, Sorry but I though I was being clear.

To clarify:-

I am unable to open attachements from within Outlook 2007, mostly MS-word.

As I stated the attachement is shown within the mail as is the application
symbol, which indicates that registered files type are correct.

However, double clicking or single right click and OPEN on the attachement
does nothing.

Since my last post I have found out that I can open the attachments if I use
the 'view attachments' from within the inbox but if I open the e-mail or
click the attachement from the reading pane, then nothing!

Thank you, I will try this in the morning and revert with the outcome.

Your instructions worked. The problem is now fixed.

Thanks for your help
