Outlook 2007 and ActiveSync 3.8 Tasks

I have installed Outlook 2007 Beta 2 and now I am having trouble syncing my
tasks with ActiveSync 3.8.0(Build 5004). After syncing with ActiveSync the
tasks line in Active sync says Attention Required - Resolve Items. When I
click Resolve Items I get the following message:

Items of one or more information types cannot be synchronized. Disconnect
and reconnect your device.

I have tried deleting all tasks on my iPaq but I still get this message.
This started the 1st time I synced after installing Outlook 2007. Any
suggestions would be appreciated. Let me know if additional info is required.

I have all aspects of Active Sync working except Tasks.

Can anybody confirm that they have Tasks working using ActiveSync 3.8
and Outlook 2007?

Tasks are Sync'ing for me between Outlook 2007 and Active Sync 3.8.0. However
my Inbox items now have a subject but no text in the message body!

You really should reinstall ActiveSync after you installed Outlook 2007.
That should solve most problems with ActiveSync.
If that doesn't help, you could try ActiveSync 4.1. I know that it
doesn't officially support older Windows Mobile versions, but I have
been syncing my PocketPC 2002 with Outlook 2007 fine since November with
ActiveSync 4.1. My feeling though is that it only works because 3.8 was
on the machine before and I didn't remove it, but just installed 4.1

Good call on the reinstall. That solved the task issue. I guess I should
submit this as a bug.

I hate reinstalling because you have to resetup all your apps but I guess
that is a small price to pay for getting it working with a BETA.

Hi Eric,

I believe reinstalling ActiveSync is something you need to do whenever
you install a newer version of Outlook, no matter whether beta or not.
FWIW, I had to reinstall ActiveSync only once for B1 and it has been
fine since (despite me getting B1TR and B2 in the meantime).
No need to file a bug on this. The suggestion to reinstall ActiveSync
came from MS itself during the early days of B1.
