Outlook 2003

in Outlook 2003 a small envelope appears in the lower right corner, by the
clock, when i receive an email.
I would like Outlook to keep showing this envelope, when new mails arrive,
but i have certain Outlook rules, that put some messages into special
folders - and when this happens, i don't want Outlook to show the envelope.

Is this possible ?
