I am unable to keep more than 30 days worth of appointments on my calendar.
For example I currently only have from Oct. 26 to Nov. 26. I need to know how
to make a settings change to allow me to keep all my appointments for at
least a year in the past

Outlook never deletes from the calendar unless you've configured it to do
so. Right-click the calendar, choose Properties, select the AutoArchive tab
and examine the settings.

no I do not, I am using an audivox 6700 PDA to sync my calendar, between two
machines. I do not have any settings telling it to clear or delete calendar
dates, frankly I don't know where they would be. I have a home office and
work computer that I sync with. Both have the autoarchive turned off.

Contradictory statements, in my opinion.

Alas, I can't think of what may be causing your problem, but I still suspect
the sync software.
