Outlook 2003

My email keeps trying tosend a message when my outbox showes empty. When
there is mail in it it tries to send one more than the outbox says is there.
Also the only time it will send is upon opening. I have the box chect that
says to send immidiately.
Any ideas?

Possibly undeliverable read receipt. See if this helps:
