Outlook 2003 won't send/receive after recent Windows update

I have been using Outlook 2003 for 2+ years and now it won't send/receive
after recent Windows update. I'm using PC-Cillan Internet Security 2006
firewall. I have checked all my ingoing/outgoing mail set-ups numerous times.
I've checked the firewall settings as well. Please help! I am fed up.
