Hello, I am a newer user of Outlook 2003 and we recently got hooked up to
internet satellite service through WildBlue.net (WB).

I believe I have Outlook 2003 configured correctly to send & receive e-mail,
as I am able to send & receive for the most part. Some e-mail gets 'stuck' in
my WB mailbox. Whenever this happens, I go into my POP settings in my WB
settings panel, and I notice that every time, my POP settings are not
'sticking' since the last time I set them. Then what happens is I re-set it
to send & receive all mail, which I then receive all the e-mail that I have
already received! I don't think things are working properly :)

I have spoken with WB several times, and the nice person I spoke to last
night suggested I contact Microsoft to see if there have been similar issues,
and is there perhaps a update/download that may help me.

I appreciate any help on this problem! Thanks much, Cheryl B.

The most frequent cause of this is an antivirus scanner integrated into
Outlook. Uninstall your AV program completely and reinstall it without any
mail scanning feature. You don't need it anyway and it can't interfere with
mail delivery that way.

Hi Brian, Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I take it that you discovered that your AV program was interfering. I'm
glad Outlook is working now.
