Outlook 2003 with Office XP

Can anybody tell me if there are compatibility issues with running
Outlook 2003 with Office XP? I know it's better to simply upgrade from
Office XP to 2003 but there are other considerations at play.

Thanks

I have seen a Microsoft note on running Office 2003 on Windows 2000
Professional, but nothing of the combination described below.

Are you only upgrading your Office Suite to Outlook 2003 but leaving the
others in Office XP editions?

My guess is Outlook 2003 would have better .DLL files with backwards
compatibility to older versions, but one thing is creating NEW Personal
Folder (.PST) files. There is a new version of .PSTs that cannot be read by
the older programs, but you would have to get into a unlikely situation to
have an issue.

1. Create a new PST in Outlook 2003
2. Use it for awhile
3. Dedcide you were going back to Office XP (Outlook XP?) and want to take
the new(er) PST file with you.

Pretty unlikely.

No problems AFAIK except you will NOT be able to use Word 2002 as your email
editor.....
