Outlook 2003 with Business contact manager, crashes without runnin

I am having a problem with Outlook 2003 and business contact manager. When
the computer is running I get an error message that says "Business contact
manager has encountered a problem and needs to close...." as a result, my
antivirus (Nortin Internet Security 2005) also crashes. This is my main
problem because I cannot run my Antivirus software in the background without
receiving this error and if I select the "restart business contact manager"
box, my antivirus restart but I keep receiving the error message, and if I
don't select the box the antivirus just won't run. This error is also
displayed whenever I try to start Outlook 2003 and I keep sending the error
report over and over and over even when I don't try to start Outlook. I
think this started happening after the last update on Jan 9 2006, I think it
was a security update. I don't know how to get rid of this problem please
help....
The error messages says something like this:
Error Signature_______________________________________
EventType : bcm P1 : mapi P2 : typeinitializationexception
P3 : 1.0.2002.1 P4 : 11.0.8002 P5 : nativemsproviderinit
P6 : msproviderinit P7 : d40099fb

In the error report contents it says
Module 1
CCAPP.exe (that is my Norton Internet Security 2005)
Module 2
ntdll.dll
Module 3
kernel32.dll
Module 4.... and there is about 88 more modules listed and other stuff.

I tried uninstalling the updates but that didn't work, I have looked
everywhere in the microsoft websites but there seems not to be a fix for
this, can anyone out htere help please?

Looks like Norton is hooking into MAPI providers (probably trying to
detect email viruses) and blowing up--typeinitializationexception may
be due to one of the MAPI API that BCM doesn't support, and for which
it returns a mapinotsupportedexception (if you ever try to debug your
own Outlook addin with BCM running you'll run into these). Then the
Outlook process calls the Norton hook and the Norton process is gone,
so the Outlook process throws an unhandled exception which is caught by
the MAPI/BCM code and it calls Watson. Just a guess.

Luther Thank you for your prompt response,
It is interesteing that you were able to determine what might be causing the
error to happen but I am really not familiar with what MAPI or API is and I
don't know how to use that information to fix the problem...
I saw some posts that recomend creating a new profile with BCM disabled, and
others that recomend deleting either BCM or .Net Framework 2.0 (I don't know
what this does either but I know I have it) because it may be causing soem
problems. However if I create edit the outlook profile that may stop outlook
it self from crashing when I start it but I am not sure if it will stop my
Norton Internet Security and anti-virus from crashing since it happens
without even having to start outlook, it is just a constant error that
appears. Thank you and any further help is greatly appreciated!

It sounds like Norton is the source of your problems. Either get help
from them, or if help is not forthcoming, replace Norton with one of
their competitors.
