Outlook 2003 will not start even in safe mode

I have all updates installed, us Windows XP, I have Office 2003 PRO. When I
click on Outook it says it was shut down improperly and I also get a Business
Contact Manager message asking if I want to send a report. It asks if I want
to start in safe mode, if I say yes it won't and asks if I want to run a
repair which gives me Windows Installer over and over and it still will not
open. If I say no it won't open. After I go through all this, I can't get out
of these constant messages over and over, w/o shutting down my computer. I
have googled this problem and nothing I find which is little, fixes it. I
have no way to uninstall Office or Outlook that I can see, only fix or
remove. I clicked on fix, and it did not fix it. This just started this
morning.

Assuming you have the Office cd.
Reboot the PC, insert Office cd, the Office installation screen should open,
after a short while. Select the repair option
PS If you dont use Business Contact Manager, in Add/Remove Programs
dialogue, uninstall BCM

Thank you for trying to help DL. I had already removed the business contact
manager. I do not have the CD. As I recall, it was a download from the site
through a school program.

If it was downloaded, from the internet, there should have been a setup file
which you should have saved to external media, together with the key -
presumably you did'nt and can no longer contact the school school for help
in obtaining the installation disks.
If you try; (after rebboting)
Start
Run
Outlook.exe /safe ( space between exe /)
Does outlook run?

Also if you start Word, and from the help menu select Detect/Repair, does
the repair run?

I just now went to WORD and ran the repair option from help, it is the same
thing that OUtlook has prompted me to do all a.m. and what happened when I
went to control panel to the remove/add programs and hit the 'fix' button.
Nothing then is fixed. I also went to start, run, like you said and the same
thing happened as when I click on OUtlook from my desktop. Then I can't get
out of the all the error msgs and it never opens. I'm thinking of paying to
upgrade Outlook only to see if that helps, but I would need all my files from
my old Outlook to import. What do you think?

Well theres little you can do if you dont have the Office cd
I wouldnt advise buying a standalone version of Outlook 2007, in your
circumstances.
Your data files, eg docs & outlook data is not effected by any
uninstallation of Office, or any upgrade of Office allthough a backup of
data is allways wise, in any event.
BTW you dont either import or export outlook data in any event, in any
uninstall or upgrade process

Thank you for all of your help. I removed the Business Manager/Outlook 2003
and stupidly thought that was it. I went through my CDS thanks to you and
found Business Manager for OUtlook 2003. I chose the uninstall option and now
Outlook works fine. Thanks again.
