Outlook 2003 Will Not Exit Completely

I am having a problem with one of our New Systems that
has Office 2003 SBE Running WIN XP.
Outlook will not exit completely, it always leaves a tray
icon open and they only way to completely shut down
Outlook is in Task Manager\ Processes and Stop the
process.
If you are Lucky enough to open Outlook more than once,
when you go back to Task Manager Outlook.exe will be
running however many times you were able to open and
attempt to close Outlook.
I do not have WinFax 10.. Or any PDA's, Spyware, Virus's
etc. on this system, it is clean.
I have done hours of research and have found No Solutions
for this issue.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP !!

THANKS,
VR

Some common reasons why Outlook will not shut down completely when you click
either the X or Exit:

1. PDA synchronization software with your PDA in the cradle.
2. WinFax Pro (especially 10.02 in Outlook 2003) - contact their support
for an alleged fix.
3. Franklin-Cover Plan Plus!
4. COM Add-ins.
5. Mail reminder add-ins that keep a stub of Outlook open in the background
to check for new mail and fire reminders.
6. Anti-virus/firewall programs that are set to scan incoming and outgoing
mail.

These solutions Do Not Apply to my Situation.
I have other 2003 Office/WIN XP systems on the floor and
they Do Not Have This Issue.
Any Further Suggestions?

I had this problem for a while and it drove me nuts. The solution that
finally worked for me was as follows. Apparently Outlook was having
problems with one of the email accounts I had set up (I don't know if it was
corrupted or what). But, when I deleted my email accounts, restarted the
computer, and them reestablished them, the problem went away.

Why this should be, I do not know. As the expression goes "go figure."
But, it worked for me.

I would believe that Reinstalling Office Suite two times
would qualify as resetting the account as you mentioned.
I must apologize I did not mention that I had reinstalled
Office 2 times with no luck in correcting the issue.

I am not so sure that reintalling Office would do it. It did not do it for
me. Reinstalling would not delete whatever settings were causing the
problems.

Try going to Tools | Email Accounts | View or Change Accounts

Delete the accounts.
Restart Windows.
Re-create the accounts.

As indicated, this did work for me. But, your problem could be completely
different.
